#7 The war on terrorism is forever waging.

Terrorism has been around since the ideas of bigotry, racism, and jealousy have existed.  In other words since man has known any other man.  But it doesn't make it right.  The question is not when terrorism started or who started it (no, neither answer has to do with GW Bush).  The question that needs to be answered is how do we respond to it.  The war will never be won since it will always be around until we are all one human race with the same beliefs or the world will end.  But it can be dealt with and lessened, especially within our on borders.

ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria--I refuse to call it anything else) is the new wave of terrorism.  A militia of rejects, whom the President deemed as a junior varsity squad, have unfortunately trained and armed themselves with better weapons than expected have now taken back many places we fought to free.  They are now advancing on allies and threatening the small stability we have tried to create.  Yes, the Iraqis need to step up and take more of the heat that we have taken for so long now. But we just can't walk away from them either.  We need air strikes.  We need allies.  We need ground troops---unfortunately.

But there is more to this story.  We have "citizens" going to fight in Iraq against us and after they fight they can return home.  WRONG!  If anyone fights against us it is called treason.

US Constitution, Article III, Section 3, 1787
  • Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.
Anyone who helps the enemy, especially fights for them is a traitor and deserves all punishment. They are guilty since we have plenty of witnesses.  Anyone who is a traitor should NOT be allowed to return to our country except for the trial and execution.  Their citizenship needs to be revoked and their travel passports and.or VISA need to be ripped from them and denied.

In a time such as this there should be no compromise.  Time to call it like it is.  They are terrorists, no longer Americans, and do not deserve any benefit or recognition as being one us.  The war still goes on.  It will never end, but that doesn't mean we quit.
