The biggest jerk? Who could it be? Oh, there are many people from all walks of life, whether they are religious, political, CEOs, or "friends", who are great candidates to fill this title. Those on the left will of course come out with George W Bush as their first choice or perhaps Rush Limbaugh. Rush could be at least on the Top 20 list. Those on the right would pick Barack Obama (personally, he wouldn't make this list here unless it was the most stupidest people in the world). But only one person would top this list. Here is a list of some others before we reveal the Steve Martin Wannabe (My Life is Pathetic) Award.
If this was a world list, Ahmadinejad would top the list, followed closely by Kim Jong-Il. But stay in our borders and you get a different list of characters. Here is just a sample of who might be on the list along with a small story that allows them to make the list. In no particular order:
- Charlie Sheen, actor who can't seem to not hit his wives, call people derogatory names, and then makes fun of all of his antics by appearing on Comedy Channel's roast.
- Carlos Zambrano, pitcher Chicago Cubs who is only happy when the Cubs are winning--thank God that doesn't happen much-- but blames his teammates and blows his top when they lose. And then to top ot off, when they become so bad that they were in jeopardy of the Houston Astros actually passing them up he "retires". If the Yankees call him do you think he will "unretire"?
- Chris Matthews, MSNBC news announcer. Can he ever say anything intelligent without any spin to it? The man won't let anyone ever finish a sentence before he asks them another one. And if you are a conservative, forget it.
- Mike Brown, owner of the Cincinnati Bengals. Only people from that area would understand this pick.
- Bawney Fwank, representative from Massachusetts, the real mastermind behind the housing market drop and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but of course blames everyone else, especially republicans.
- Solyndra, solar panel company who took $535 million dollars to go green and is now going bankrupt because of poor management, but to their defense, this was a program sponsored by the Obama administration.
- New York Times, newspaper. The most one sided piece of garbage that has ever been printed. Not one story can stand alone based on the full truth. It allows terrorists to give their side of the story and allows them to be the hero.
- John Kasich, Republican Governor from Ohio, thinks that cutting the pay of public workers like fire fighters, police officers and teachers will make a stronger public service system.
- David C. Isaacs, former administrator of an alternative school. No matter what list is named, if it is negative, this guy will always make it.
But the award goes to: Bill Maher, for his comments linked here for you to read. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/09/17/maher_christians_are_people_who_hate_charity_and_love_killing.html
What a jerk! Does he really think this or is his life so pathetic that he has so much time to come up with such crap? His facts are wrong. He is delusional. http://abcnews.go.com/2020/story?id=2682730&page=1. He is doing exactly what the far liberal side does all the time; they take a topic and turn it into something else. The conservative side, SAYING IT AGAIN, is not about stopping people from getting health care. It is about how do we pay for it. They (liberals) always claim that the richest 1%, those who make over $250,000 a year, need to pay more. Fine. But they are the only ones who really can pay for it. The other 99%, those who make under $250,000 a year (but even most of them do not even come close to that income), can not afford extra taxes and payments. They have enough problems on their own. Most can not afford to pay for their own insurance and then forced to pay for someone else. But unlike what Bill Maher, the newly crowned Biggest Jerk, Christians are the largest donors to all charities. Here is a direct quote from the link above from ABC:
- "Religious people are more likely to give to charity, and when they give, they give more money: four times as much...Actually, the truth is that they're giving to more than their churches. The religious Americans are more likely to give to every kind of cause and charity, including explicitly non-religious charities."
The man has millions of dollars. He can sure help change people's lives. Do you think he gives a lot to charity? Do you think he goes to hospitals and takes care of people who do not have insurance? You can almost bet that he doesn't. Because all he has time for in his useless existence is try to find things to blame on Christians and/or Conservatives.
Republicans want slavery? History lesson: the republicans ended slavery. Southern Democrats wanted to keep it. Now some in the GOP are a little too hard-core and want to take things away. Vote them out of office. But to say the things this man does is asinine.
Jerk.
You are welcome to add your own biggest jerk in the comment section.

Okay. You posed it.
Tell me. What IS the "Conservative" idea about paying for health care?
Once again, I do NOT like Obama's plan. But all we hear is "No to 'Obamacare'". We never hear a peep about what the other side plans to do.
I understand you cannot state every Conservative idea. What's YOUR idea? Whose plan do you want?
Hmmmmm?
Let it be known, there is no perfect answer. Nothing will solve all of the problems. We can try and slow the regression down and solve problems piece by piece by that will lead to other problems. Each legistation will bound to hurt someone, unintentionally most of the time. The Obamacare will hurt the middle class, period. The upper class won't feel the pinch although they will complain and raise all the prices for the rest of us to pay since $1 billion isn't enough to make. The poor will of course benefit but will make it easier for some to not work as and earn their stay. I know that sounds harsh but that is the truth.
Now, what would my answer be? You said part of it already in conversations past. Flat tax, close all loopholes, etc.
That though will not pay for everything. Every business should offer charity banks their employees can donate to. Churches and some other "non-profit" organizations should pay taxes. Government businesses can be created to compete against private sector, but not replace them. If the government wants to make money and supply healthcare then they can let it be an option to buy some from them.
There is the key word, OPTION. No one has a problem with paying a little more, but being forced into it when they do not know the money WILL BE used correctly or goes to the right people is what we do not want. If I see someone hurting, I try and help. But it is my option and choice. If I am walking down the street and someone is hurting and before I have the chance to help some men jump out and force me to empty my pockets to give the hurting person, it becomes wrong. That is what Obamacare is. Robinhood on crack.
YOU'RE GOING TO VOTE FOR HILLARY, AREN'T YOU!!!????????
YAY!
Three years ago I would never have even thought about it. But if it was between Obama and Hillary then yes. But, don't get your hopes up.
...and I still think the biggest jerk in the US is Tom Brady...
Man I hate that guy!
